As of 09/19/2024, it holds 252,220 BTC purchased for approximately 9.9 billion. BTC cost was $39,266.
Before announcing the Bitcoin purchase, MicroStrategy founder Michael Saylor revealed that the company had completed a convertible bond issuance to purchase more BTC and pay off debt, raising $1 billion in capital from the sales.
The private offering, which closed on September 19, targeted institutional investors.
