In August, Harris raised $189 million in campaign funds, four times more than Trump

The latest documents from the Federal Election Commission show that U.S. Vice President Harris raised and spent far more funds in August than former President Trump, and she will have more cash at the end of the month for a final sprint in the November election. In August, Harris's campaign team raised over $189 million, which is more than four times the $44 million raised by Trump's campaign team. These figures reflect funds specifically raised for candidates' main campaign accounts and do not include donations to other sectors of their political activities.

Earlier this month, Harris's campaign team announced that it had jointly raised a total of $361 million in election donations with the Democratic National Committee and fundraising committee in August. In contrast, Trump's campaign team and its joint fundraising committee only raised $130 million. These figures do not include September donations, including nearly 600 thousand donors who contributed $47 million to Harris’s campaign within 24 hours after her first and only debate with Trump. On Saturday, Harris's campaign team accepted CNN’s invitation to hold a second debate on October 23rd but so far Trump has firmly stated he will not participate in debates.(CNBC)
