Bitdeer Completes Testing of SEAL02 Bitcoin Mining Chip
Developed in collaboration with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), the SEAL02 chip showcases Bitdeer’s commitment to energy-efficient bitcoin mining. Test results confirmed its power efficiency rating of 13.5 J/T in ultra power-saving mode, placing it among the most energy-efficient chips currently available.
Bitdeer (Nasdaq: BTDR) plans to incorporate the SEAL02 chip into its forthcoming Sealminer A2 machines, with large-scale production scheduled for Nov. 2024. Alongside this, Bitdeer is advancing the development of its SEAL03 chip as part of ongoing research and development efforts.
The company emphasized its dedication to setting new standards for energy efficiency and transparency within the cryptocurrency mining industry. This announcement comes after Bitmain’s recent updates on its hydro S21 and DLC U3S21EXPH miners, which deliver hashpower of 473 terahash per second (TH/s) and 860 TH/s, respectively. Additionally, Microbt revealed its 450 TH/s machine in late July.
