  • Magic Eden launches an exclusive Captain Laserhawk NFT collection with Ubisioft.
  • The limited edition series of 10,000 NFTs will be linked to Ubisoft’s Web3 game.
  • The NFTs will provide players early access to the game, apart from other benefits.

Magic Eden launched an exclusive Captain Laserhawk NFT collection on Friday. In collaboration with Ubisoft, the limited edition series of 10,000 NFTs will soon be built on the Arbitrum blockchain. These NFTs are linked to Ubisoft’s latest Web3 game.

Some partnerships just make sense. We’ve teamed up with @ubisoft to launch their newest game, @EdenOnline_exe, built on the @arbitrum blockchain.

With this comes their upcoming NFT mint, and the first Arbitrum mint on Magic Eden.

According to an official statement, the NFTs will provide players access to its governance model, user-generated content features, and rewards. Additionally, by accessing these NFTs, the players can influence the game by contributing their creations and unlocking exclusive rewards. As a bonus, the players who hold NFTs get early access to the game and can be a part of a community with direct links with the Ubisoft developers.

Interestingly, Captain Laserhawk: The G.A.M.E  is based on a Netflix series, Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix, which itself draws inspiration from Ubisoft’s game – Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. Reportedly, Captain Laserhawk: The G.A.M.E is a top-down multiplayer shooter game set in the dystopian world of Eden. Iconic characters from Assassin’s Creed, Beyond Good & Evil, and Rayman are said to make an appearance in the game.

The team stated that the NFT, known as the Niji Warrior ID card, will differ based on the player’s performance. It implies that if a player plays well, they could unlock more benefits and also enhance their governance model. Notably, the activities of the players will be measured through Eden Score. Didier Genevois, the Web3 Executive Producer at Ubisoft, said,

We’re empowering our community to not only play but also shape the future of the game. It’s about creating a collaborative ecosystem where players’ decisions and creations directly impact the game’s evolution, making the experience truly their own.

Notably, this partnership marks Arbitrum as Magic Eden’s latest support. Earlier, Magic Eden had engaged in the swapping and management of digital assets for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, and Base. Developed in September 2021, Magic Eden offered only Solana NFTs during its initial stages.
