Former President Donald J. Trump has surged to a 12% lead over Kamala Harris following the recent Oct. 5 rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where he was joined onstage by Elon Musk, the billionaire head of Tesla and SpaceX.
The competition between Trump and Harris had been going neck to neck for almost a month since their debate. However, Trump currently has a 56% chance of winning the election with voters’ support of $340,102,006, while Harris stands at 44% with $270,635,307 worth of votes
The rally was held at the same venue where Trump narrowly escaped an assassination attempt on July 13.

This endorsement from Musk started shortly after the assassination attempt. During the rally, Trump said that his experience from the attack “did not break our spirit”.
Harris is currently ahead of Trump in several polls, including one in Pennsylvania, where the margin is just 0.6 points. However, Musk’s appearance at the rally seems to have changed the dynamics in favor of Trump.
