New York Financial Services Authority Is Hiring Blockchain Analyst to Fight Crypto Crime
The New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) is hiring a senior blockchain analyst to address financial crimes in the cryptocurrency industry, including money laundering activities, Cryptonews reports. Candidates should have at least one year of experience in the cryptocurrency industry and be familiar with blockchain analysis and the use of open source intelligence tools.
An in-depth understanding of the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) rules and related legal frameworks is also required. The position is primarily responsible for assessing the risk of illicit activity in DFS regulated virtual currency licensees using blockchain analytics and on-chain attribution, monitoring dashboards for anomalies that may be indicative of money laundering or sanctions violations, and conducting further investigations and reporting.
