IMDB reveals everyone in HBO’s Bitcoin documentary as Satoshi
The IMDB page for HBO’s upcoming documentary Money Electric: The Bitcoin Mystery, which claims to unveil the true identity of Bitcoin’s (CRYPTO:BTC) creator Satoshi Nakamoto, was humorously edited by users to show every cast member as Satoshi.
This tongue-in-cheek stunt appears to reference the popular "We Are All Satoshi" meme that has circulated within the cryptocurrency community.
An IMDB user initially altered the documentary’s information page to list one cast member as Nakamoto, sparking a wave of similar edits where every participant was labeled as the elusive Bitcoin inventor.
The playful modifications highlight the ongoing speculation and mystery surrounding Nakamoto’s true identity.
According to Polymarket betting trends, the odds have fluctuated as people speculate on who will be revealed as Nakamoto.
American computer scientist Nick Szabo and cryptographer Len Sassaman were once favored, though the category "Other/multiple" has since gained traction.
Blockstream CEO Adam Back is currently the second-highest contender, with a 10.7% chance of being revealed as Nakamoto.
In addition to these predictions, leaked clips from the documentary hint at former Bitcoin developer Peter Todd as a potential candidate.
Todd has since denied these claims, even questioning the intentions of the documentary’s producer, Cullen Hoback.
HBO’s documentary, led by Hoback, teases a long-awaited reveal, but the lighthearted response on IMDB and speculation within the crypto community suggest that the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto remains as mysterious as ever.
With only snippets of the film circulating, it’s still unclear if the documentary will definitively answer the question that has puzzled the crypto world for years.
At the time of writing, the Bitcoin price was $62,097.95.
