Aethir, a leader in decentralized GPU cloud computing for AI and gaming, has announced the launch of the $100 million Aethir Ecosystem Fund. Supported by the Aethir Foundation, the fund consists of multiple grant programs designed to accelerate the adoption of the Aethir computing platform and empower startups in the AI and gaming sectors. As part of the program, Aethir has launched an independent grant program, Aethir Catalyst, which will distribute 336 million ATH tokens next year.

Aethirs Ecosystem Fund aims to drive innovation in the AI and gaming industries by leveraging existing and newly launched funding programs. The core program of the fund is Aethir Catalyst, a $20 million program that will provide financial support to more than 100 projects in the form of grants or subsidies. Aethir Catalyst aims to support startups and companies with large computing needs, especially those integrating AI or developing high-attraction gaming projects. Aethir will be evaluated based on multiple criteria such as level of innovation, growth potential, computing needs, community impact, etc.

By distributing 336 million ATH tokens, evenly split between AI and gaming projects, Aethir seeks to build strategic partnerships with large and small buyers of computing resources, while supporting early-stage startups. Aethir Catalyst lowers the barrier to entry for high-performance computing, providing companies with the critical resources they need to grow their projects. For many innovative companies, access to GPU resources is a key factor in their growth, and Aethirs plans are designed to make these resources more accessible, directly addressing the pain points of enterprise needs.

Aethirs Ecosystem Fund is more than just a financial commitment; it is a strategic move to foster a new wave of industry growth. As AI and gaming technologies become increasingly compute-intensive, Aethir is positioning itself as a key infrastructure provider to help developers bring their most ambitious ideas to life. Aethir Catalyst, along with two other $10 million ecosystem grant programs, are key components of the Aethir Ecosystem Fund, designed to accelerate the creation and deployment of cutting-edge AI applications and immersive gaming experiences. These programs, which will be conducted in partnership with XAI and XPLA , will drive innovation and influence and shape the future of both industries.

In addition to the funding program, the Aethir Ecosystem Fund also offers a subsidy program that provides up to 35% off-platform service costs for companies that need GPU computing resources, further reducing the financial burden on related companies. This combination of funding and subsidies ensures that developers from self-sufficient startups to more mature organizations can access computing resources through Aethirs platform to advance their own project development without sacrificing development due to budget constraints.

As a complement to the ecosystem plan, Aethir is launching a new business line through its Edge network to expand its infrastructure, support more complex AI workloads, and strengthen the scalability of enterprise-grade social media platforms. As part of this expansion, the Aethir Foundation will allocate up to 100 ATH of computing equipment per day to Edge, ensuring computing availability across the entire network from November 2024 to mid-2025.

Mark Rydon, Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Aethir, commented: “Aethir Catalyst represents a significant commitment on our part to democratize access to GPU computing resources for innovators in the AI and gaming sectors. By committing $20 million from the Aethir Foundation’s $100 million Ecosystem Fund to the initiative, we will ensure that the most promising companies have the necessary computing resources to grow and break down barriers to access.”

Aethirs Ecosystem Fund is expected to have a broader impact in the technology industry, empowering developers to break the boundaries of technology and unlock new possibilities. By supporting a variety of companies in the fields of AI and gaming, Aethir is driving innovation to create richer digital environments and more scalable and sophisticated AI solutions.

Developers, startups, and enterprises are encouraged to apply for Aethir Catalyst grants and subsidies, which will provide them with the necessary resources to help them scale their operations and bring more groundbreaking projects to market.
