Trump's potential Treasury candidate: Will work with Musk to cut federal spending
billionaire investor John Paulson said that if Donald Trump is elected as President of the United States and he serves as Treasury Secretary during his second term, he will work with Musk to significantly reduce federal spending. In an interview, Paulson said his top priority would be to extend the tax cuts that Trump implemented in 2017, followed by "working with Musk to reduce federal spending," especially by canceling green energy subsidies in the Inflation Reduction Act. Paulson, 68, has had a close relationship with Trump for over a decade. Insiders revealed that he is one of several candidates being considered by Trump and his allies to serve as Treasury Secretary.
