ChainCatcher reports, according to Crypto Briefing, that Mark Uyeda, a member of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), said in an interview with Fox Business that he supports the establishment of safe harbors and regulatory sandbox mechanisms in the cryptocurrency field to promote innovation.
As a hot candidate for SEC chairman under the Trump administration, Uyeda emphasized the need to end so-called "cryptocurrency wars" and establish clearer regulatory frameworks. Uyeda pointed out that "many crypto assets are not actually securities but are labeled as such." He stressed the importance of collaboration between Congress, the White House, and regulatory agencies in establishing a complete regulatory framework.
