How YeagerAI Is Allowing dApps to Access Real-World Data More Efficiently
- YeagerAI is promising to make oracles more efficient with AI.
- The team’s latest solution promises to boost applications that rely on subjective data.
- Several projects have already committed to using the solution.
As blockchain technology and crypto become more intertwined with real-world applications, efficient access to off-chain data grows more important. Among the firms pushing the envelope of what is possible in the space is YeagerAI, the developer of the GenLayer blockchain. Recently, the firm unveiled an oracle solution that promises to offer decentralized applications (dApps) access to real-world data with greater flexibility and efficiency than ever before.
Yeager AI Unveils Intelligent Oracle
YeagerAI is promising to make oracles more efficient with AI. On Tuesday, November 26, the team unveiled Intelligent Oracle, a solution to leverage large language models to deliver data to on-chain applications more efficiently, particularly for non-deterministic tasks, which are transactions and questions lacking predefined answers.

As highlighted by YeagerAI, resolving these non-deterministic queries with traditional oracles that rely on predefined datasets is usually slow and costly as it often requires human intervention. With Intelligent Oracle, YeagerAI claims to circumvent these hurdles by leveraging the LLM to retrieve and interpret data from the internet quickly. The team estimates the oracle will achieve finality in less than an hour at under $1.
To ensure the validity of the data retrieved by the LLM, YeagerAI notes that Intelligent Oracle is baked into GenLayer’s Optimistic Democracy Consensus, allowing network validators to challenge and verify the data.
"Validators connect to LLMs, enabling the network to process non-deterministic transactions by fetching data from the Internet. When a query is made, a lead validator generates a proposed result, while other validators independently verify this output against the pre-set equivalence criteria. Optimistic Democracy ensures all decisions are accurate, reliable, and secure," the team explained.YeagerAI tipped Intelligent Oracle to revolutionize blockchain use cases like prediction markets, insurance, and financial derivatives.
Already in Demand
According to a statement from the YeagerAI team, several projects have already committed to leveraging Intelligent Oracle. These projects include Radix DLT, Etherisc, PredX, Delphi Bets, and Provably.
Intelligent Oracle is slated to launch on a permissioned local network before deploying on the GenLayer testnet by the end of 2024. Beyond offering greater efficiency, YeagerAI notes that the solution will also have cross-chain compatibility.
On the Flipside
- Intelligent Oracle has yet to launch on mainnet.
- The solution has yet to be battle-tested.
Why This Matters
Solutions like Intelligent Oracle promise to promote greater adoption of blockchain-integrated solutions by offering greater efficiency, which allows for scalability and improved user experiences.
