21x partners with Chainlink for EU-regulated blockchain services
21x, a European fintech company, has entered into a partnership with Chainlink (CRYPTO:LINK) to offer EU-compliant services.
This collaboration will integrate 21x’s platform with Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), positioning 21x as the first EU-regulated financial market infrastructure to support tokenised money and securities.
The partnership comes at a time when European crypto regulations, especially the Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) law, are reshaping the landscape.
While some firms, like Tether, are scaling back in Europe due to regulatory challenges, 21x is leveraging the opportunity to expand.
“We’re excited to partner with 21X and help foster the adoption of regulated blockchain-based markets across Europe,” said Angie Walker, Global Head of Banking and Capital Markets at Chainlink Labs.
“By leveraging the Chainlink standard, 21X will ensure its matching and settlement system is underpinned by highly accurate and reliable market data.”
21x will now be able to provide order matching, trading, settlement, and registry services in a market disrupted by shifting regulations.
The company’s operations will be supervised by Germany’s Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin).
This deal could also have financial implications for Chainlink.
Its LINK token has experienced a rise in value since the announcement, although the direct impact of the partnership on its price remains uncertain.
Chainlink has already seen sustained bullish momentum, and 21x's integration may further contribute to its growth.
As MiCA regulations continue to shape the future of crypto in Europe, 21x’s partnership with Chainlink could play a crucial role in offering compliant blockchain-based financial services in the region.
At the time of reporting, the Chainlink price was $24.47.
