Roger Ver, known as "Bitcoin Jesus," faces extradition to the United States over allegations of tax fraud and filing false returns tied to his 2014 renunciation of U.S. citizenship.

Ver denies the charges, calling them unconstitutional and politically motivated, while his legal team argues that U.S. authorities improperly accessed privileged communications.

If convicted, Ver could face up to 100 years in prison.

Amid the legal proceedings, testimonials from beneficiaries of Ver's philanthropy have surfaced, showcasing his anonymous contributions to disaster relief and community empowerment.

Dan Akston from The Crypto Show highlighted Ver's funding for relief efforts during Hurricanes Harvey and Maria and earthquakes in Puebla, Mexico.

In Antigua, Ver pledged $100,000 to a nonprofit school struggling during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to Island Academy’s Bernadette Sherman.

Ver's philanthropy extends globally.

In Nigeria, he supported tech education for underserved youth through the Tech Innovation Hub Nigeria.

“Without his support, this wouldn’t have been possible,” Zunnurayni Usman remarked.

Ethan Crelinston from the B Team Jiu Jitsu team shared how Ver fully funded their ACL surgery without seeking recognition.

Zahara Idries from Women Techmakers noted his role in empowering women through career training programs.

In Antigua, Ver anonymously donated laptops and cellphones while funding the region’s largest Christmas gift drive.

Local organisers later revealed his involvement.

He has also discreetly aided individuals facing personal crises, including a widow defrauded of her savings and a Nevada liberty advocate facing legal challenges.

Ver’s supporters argue that his case represents government overreach and outdated tax laws targeting cryptocurrency pioneers.

Ross Ulbricht, previously pardoned by President Trump, has publicly called for Ver’s freedom, stating that his contributions to the crypto community warrant clemency.
