The U.S. Treasury Secretary may consider resigning due to the absurdity of "reciprocal tariffs"
According to Jinshi report, Stephanie Ruhle, the host of Microsoft's National Broadcasting Corporation in the United States, said on the 4th that US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent could not tolerate the "absurd (reciprocal) tariff algorithm" of the Trump administration and planned to resign. Ruhle said on the "Good Morning, Joe" TV show: "My sources say that Bessent's behavior is alternative within Trump's administration. As far as Trump's inner circle is concerned, Trump does not get close to Bessent or listen to him." Ruhle said: "Someone told me he was looking for a way out and an opportunity to go to Federal Reserve because in recent days he has really been damaging his reputation and track record in market." Bessent himself has yet made no response about this matter.
